11/3/22 - 'Many dozens' knew student brought gun to Dixon middle school but said nothing, investigation finds - At least 20 students at a Dixon middle school knew that a classmate had brought a gun and ammunition onto campus before classes started, but did not tell an adult, an investigation by police and school staff found. Swatting is when someone makes a false report of a serious crime in order to “elicit a response from law enforcement.”
