• 2/26/24 - Olathe student charged, accused of bringing gun to school, fighting officer - OLATHE, Kan. — A Olathe Northwest student is now facing charges after officials say he got into a fight with an officer and administrators when he allegedly brought a gun to school.

• 2/23/24 - 16-year-old arrested at Olathe Northwest after police say he had a loaded gun at school - A 16-year-old Olathe Northwest High School student was arrested Friday after a loaded gun was found inside his backpack, according to police.

• 7/25/23 - KU football player arrested following alleged bomb threat - A University of Kansas football player was arrested Monday afternoon on suspicion of aggravated criminal threat following an alleged bomb threat at Anderson Family Football Complex.

• 5/18/23 - Shawnee Mission School District investigates report of weapon at middle school - SHAWNEE, Kan. — A Shawnee Mission school notified families about a reported security issue involving a student earlier this month.

• 3/1/23 - False school-shooting calls made to more than 10 Kansas districts - WICHITA, Kan. (KWCH) - Wednesday evening update: The Kansas Bureau of Investigation (KBI) said its working with local and federal agencies to track down the origin of swatting calls that led police to more than a dozen schools across Kansas on Wednesday.

• 1/24/23 - Bishop Miege High School officials respond to social media threat from students - ROELAND PARK, Kan. — Bishop Miege Catholic High School officials responded to social media threats made by students on Monday night, saying there will be an increased police presence at the school Tuesday.
