1/15/24 - Fergus Falls Public Schools close early after shooting threat - Fergus Falls, MINN. (Valley News Live) - Fergus Falls Public Schools is sending students home early after receiving phone calls threatening to shoot through the windows of the schools.

1/15/24 - Code Red at Fergus Falls Schools - Due to an unspecified threat, the Fergus Falls Public Schools went in to a Code Red lockdown Monday.  While the details are limited, Fergus Falls Chief of Public Safety Kile Bergren said that it was due to a, similar to the one that the Public Library received last week.

1/14/24 - Monday classes canceled in Grand Meadow Public School district after online threat - (ABC 6 News) – An online threat has forced the cancelation of classes on Monday in the Grand Meadow Public School district, according to an email sent to district parents Sunday evening.

1/12/24 - Ex-mayor who threatened to shoot U of M students arrested after 4-hours-long standoff - The man suspected of threatening students was arrested after an apparent standoff in Watson, Minn. A bomb squad was brought in but it turned out there were no explosives inside the house. 

1/11/24 - U of M Twin Cities threats: Suspect apprehended in Chippewa County - MINNEAPOLIS (FOX 9) - What began as a safety threat to the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities (U of M) campus, then became an hours-long standoff in a small western Minnesota town, which ended with an arrest late Thursday afternoon.

11/17/23 - Two students charged after loaded guns were found in their backpacks - Two teens are charged after police found two loaded handguns inside their backpacks Thursday following a dispute at Cooper High School in New Hope.

6/1/23 - 2 threats made at Maple Grove Middle School in one week - MAPLE GROVE, Minn. (FOX 9) - Law enforcement is investigating two separate threats made at Maple Grove Middle School this week. Osseo Area Public Schools have assured parents that no threat exists to students or staff.

5/30/23 - CRIME 2 teens charged in shooting, stabbing at Washburn High School - MINNEAPOLIS -- Charges have been filed against two teenage boys in connection with last week's shooting and stabbing incidents at Washburn High School.

5/3/23 - Student, 16, arrested after bringing loaded gun inside Mankato West High School - MANKATO, Minn. – A teenage boy is in custody after bringing a loaded handgun into a southern Minnesota school.

4/27/23 - Two guns found at Minneapolis elementary school - Minneapolis police recovered two guns from the city’s Loring Elementary School on Wednesday, apparently brought to the school by a staff member.

4/19/23 - 2 Champlin schools evacuated over bomb threat - CHAMPLIN, Minn. -- Two north metro schools were evacuated as a precaution due to a bomb threat Wednesday afternoon.

3/17/23 - Student brings unloaded weapon to Edison School - Duluth police responded to a report of a person with a weapon at Edison North Star Academy, 3301 Technology Drive in Duluth at approximately 9 a.m. on Friday.

3/15/23 - Austin High School lockdown lifted; police investigating ‘security concern’ - The lockdown at Austin High School has been lifted. According to a statement on the Austin Public Schools Facebook page, the high school was on lockdown from 12:06 p.m. to 1:59 p.m. due to a security concern.

2/4/23 - Instagram Post Shows Teens Flashing Guns in School - ST. PAUL, Minn. (AP) — Two 16-year-olds face juvenile charges after social media posts showed them flashing handguns at their St. Paul charter school.

1/20/23 - Shots fired near St. Paul school has bullet graze teacher, building on lockdown - ST. PAUL, Minn. (FOX 9) - An incident of shots fired near the Washington Technology Magnet School in St. Paul sent the building into lockdown, and one was grazed by a bullet Friday evening.

1/11/23 - 14-year-old arrested after school threat in Windom - WINDOM, Minn (KELO) — A teenager was arrested following an incident at a southwest Minnesota school earlier this week.

1/10/23 - School Violence Threat Found at St. Charles High School - St. Charles, MN (KROC-AM News)- The St. Charles Police Department and Winona County Sheriff’s Office are planning to conduct extra security patrols after a school violence threat was discovered at the St. Charles High School.  

12/24/22 - Shooter opens fire inside Mall of America - Customers scrambled for safety and a 19-year-old male was killed when an altercation led to gunfire inside a Nordstrom store in the Mall of America in Minnesota, police said.

12/21/22 - Student arrested for making school violence threat at Fertile-Beltrami School - POLK COUNTY, M.N. (Valley News Live) - The Polk County Sheriff’s Office says it received a report of school violence made on social media by a student at Fertile-Beltrami School.

12/2/22 - W-H-A Secondary School receives threat inside school - WALKER, Minn. (Valley News Live) - The Walker Hackensack Akeley Secondary School received a threat inside of the school on Friday. Leadership at the school say they addressed the situation immediately and are partnering with law enforcement.

11/25/22 - BB gun found inside student's backpack at Neill Elementary School in Robbinsdale - ROBBINSDALE, Minn. - A student brought an unloaded BB gun to an elementary school in Robbinsdale on Wednesday.

11/20/22 - New concerns raised over third gun incident reported in Robbinsdale school district - GOLDEN VALLEY, Minn.(FOX 9) - Parents in the Robbinsdale School District are voicing new concerns after another gun was reported on the campus of one of their schools. This now marks the third incident to allegedly take place in the district over the course of one week.

11/1/22 - Rochester Public Schools address gun threat at Century High School - ROCHESTER, Minn. (KTTC) – The Rochester Public School District is investigating an incident after a student reportedly brought a BB gun onto school property Tuesday afternoon.

10/28/22 - Threat prompts closure of Chisago Lakes school Friday - District leaders with ISD 2144 say Chisago Lakes High School is closed Friday. According to the district, the school was closed due to a threat.

10/9/22 - EPHS lockdown reportedly prompted by texted threats to specific students - An Eden Prairie High School (EPHS) student received anonymous threatening text messages directed at him and four other students as they sat in class Friday morning, Oct. 7, according to the student’s father.

10/8/22 - Four arrested in connection with gun incident at high school football game - (Coon Rapids, MN) - Four people are behind bars after police recovered guns from a group trying to enter a Coon Rapids High School Homecoming game Thursday night. Officers denied the group entry into the football game because they didn't belong to the Anoka-Hennepin district. When officers escorted the group off the grounds, a witness reported seeing one individual carrying a gun. Officers proceeded to confiscate four guns from cars belonging to the group. Two adult males and two juvenile males were arrested.

10/7/22 - Locked down lifted at Eden Prairie High School after police investigate threat - EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (FOX 9) - An almost four-hour-long lockdown at Eden Prairie High School was lifted on Friday afternoon after police determined students were not in danger.  

10/7/22 - 4 weapons recovered outside Coon Rapids Homecoming game; 4 charged - COON RAPIDS, Minn. — Four people are facing charges after an incident outside the Coon Rapids High School Homecoming game Thursday night led to four guns being confiscated. 

9/26/22 - Threats close three Richfield schools, following shooting at football game - RICHFIELD, Minn. (FOX 9) - Following a shooting at their homecoming game, three schools in Richfield, Minnesota are closed today after receiving threats, the district announced. 

9/24/22 - 2 juveniles arrested in connection to shooting outside Richfield football game - Two juveniles have been arrested in connection with a shooting Friday outside a high school homecoming football game in Richfield that left two people injured, Richfield police said Sunday.

9/22/22 - Multiple fake school shooting reports, swatting incidents at Minnesota schools - (FOX 9) - There have been multiple incidents on Wednesday of people reporting active shooters at schools across Minnesota, with authorities calling these "swatting" incidents.

11/11/21 - Police investigating racial attack of Prior Lake High School student - (KSTP)- Police are now investigating after a racist video targeting a Prior Lake High School student was posted and widely shared on social media.

11/2/21 - Detroit Lakes School Threat Individuals Identified, “Dealt With” - DETROIT LAKES, Minn. (KVRR) — Threats made against schools in Detroit Lakes have been resolved according to Superintendent Mark Jenson and Detroit Lakes Police Chief Steve Todd.
